All school budget votes and board elections in New York State have been rescheduled to Tuesday, June 9, according to an executive order from Governor Andrew Cuomo. All voting will be done through mail-in absentee ballots.

All members of the community are invited to learn more about the 2020-21 proposed school budget by attending one of the many budget meetings offered this spring. The first Budget Review Session is scheduled for Wednesday, March 11 at 7 p.m. in the Genet Auditorium as part of the regular Board of Education meeting.

East Greenbush Central School District residents passed a $95.9 million budget for the 2019-20 school year on Tuesday, as well as the bus purchase proposition that will replace eight school buses out of the Bus Purchase Reserve Fund.

District residents will vote on the proposed school budget for 2019-20 on Tuesday, May 21 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. The proposed budget, which maintains all current programs and services, totals $95,925,684, an increase of 1.76% from last year.

The next Board of Education meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the Howard L. Goff Middle School cafeteria. A public hearing for the proposed school budget will also be on the agenda.
