Incoming 6th, 7th and 8th graders will choose at least one book to read this summer. When students return to school in the fall, they will complete an assignment on this book for English class.

Two dozen teachers were recognized at the public Board of Education meeting on Wednesday evening for participating in the East Greenbush Central School District’s educator mentor program. The program pairs a new teacher with an experienced teacher in their same school or subject area to provide support and coaching throughout the school year to help ensure their success.

In anticipation of extreme heat next week and its impact on health and safety in schools, the East Greenbush Central School District will have half days for grades PK-8 on Tuesday, June 18 and Thursday, June 20. Schools are closed on Wednesday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth and there is already a half day scheduled for Friday, June 21.
