The East Greenbush CSD released Episode 13 of its podcast Let’s Learn Together today. In this episode, we have a discussion with valedictorian Caitlin Weinheimer ’24 and salutatorian Aurora Forte ’24. Also, elementary students share some of their summer vacation plans, our staff profile features Goff Middle School Assistant Principal Riley O’Malley, and we highlight the Columbia Pride Club in the Student Activity Spotlight.
Kindergarten classes at Donald P. Sutherland Elementary School learned about spending, saving and sharing money through a financial course led by a Broadview educator on Monday.
Children’s book author and illustrator Brian Yanish visited Genet Elementary School on Wednesday to discuss books, the writing process and how he developed a love for drawing and creating at a young age. During his presentations in the school auditorium, Mr. Yanish showed some of his books to students including his series “Shark and Bot” and “Junk Re-Thunk, a book that shows children how to build from household recyclable items.
Two dozen teachers were recognized at the public Board of Education meeting on Wednesday evening for participating in the East Greenbush Central School District’s educator mentor program. The program pairs a new teacher with an experienced teacher in their same school or subject area to provide support and coaching throughout the school year to help ensure their success.
Administrators at Howard L. Goff Middle School recognized the May Students of the Month on Tuesday morning in the school cafeteria. Students were nominated by teachers for showing the character trait of “Citizenship.” Congratulations!
